About Me

My photo
Kelli
The incredible view off the Tooth of Time at 3:30 in the morning will always be unforgettable to me. I have been to New Mexico twice. Once on a 70-mile hiking trip that made me fall in love with the culture and surroundings of Cimarron and Taos. And a following time for an 80-mile trip that turned into a 115-mile trip because we just kept going. The second trip made me realize that after college I want to live in New Mexico. It is truly a magical place with so much to explore. Mew Mexico and Philmont have allowed me to appreciate so much about how I want my life to be. There are so many interesting people that you meet when you explore the unimaginable. I have met people from New Mexico, Texas, Florida, New York, Massachusetts and all over Pennsylvania who have inspired me to take up new habits. Once, while searching the internet about Philmont, I stumbled upon a quote: "You never leave Philmont. Your soul becomes one with the trail and a piece of you remains forever." My father, brother and I have all been to Philmont multiple times, and if anyone asks us about it we stop in our tracks to remember. We literally have the 137,000 acres memorized, the camps, the peaks, and the trails
